Life Milestone - Ceremony design for Marriage and Birthday

All of life is an experience and all of life is a celebration, we have forgotten to mark the important milestones of our life with celebration and events and rituals that have been carried out by eons in traditional cultures. These milestones of celebration are important because it helps us integrate, is gives us time to pause and honor what has come before, the transformations within us and it gives us a moment to create with intention what will come next.

I have been to countless weddings where the couple is going through the motions, mostly for others, the people who are attending, mostly for society who they have inherited these motions from but have forgotten the essence of the promise in each ritual. I see couples disconnected from the ritual, the process and each other. There is another way! A different way where this is so much life, presence, and intention in each ritual, the ritual exists to help the couple infuse and declare their own wants, desires and intentions, the whole process is one of knowing ourselves better and being a more conscious architect of our own lives.

In this process, I work with both of you to understand your story, tease out the principles and values you share as a couple, give delineation to your relationship promise and design rituals to celebrate each of those promises and intentions. The essence of my work, design and rituals is beauty, love and connection, is to create a feeling of deep intimacy and magic between you two and the guests you invite so not only are you celebrating your love but you awaken all those who attend to the possibility of intentional love in their own lives and through your ceremony, they are receiving the medicine of love in their own lives and relationships as well. The rituals we design will involve and engage your guests so they truly can support you on your shared journey and it is an intentional question by you and an intentional choice by them. We go towards depth, meaning, and intimacy.

One way this could look is you decide that you want to celebrate your new beginning and we design a ceremony with the rising sun, the dawn of your new relationship, or one of your vows could be around being reflections for each other and we design a ceremony around water, whether its drinking in it or having an offering by the ocean or the lake and you invite your guests to also offer a reflection for the both of you in origami boats. There are many ways to increase meaning, depth, and true connection for you and your guests. The journey of creating these rituals is the most fun because we get to explore and build the relationship that is unique to both of you! Doing this process alone can lead to wants and needs which are not the deeper wants and needs you really have, that’s where the personal discovery part of this process can be very fun. And yet hold it in a fun and joyous way which allows it to transform over time.

Format and Investment

Initiation and envisioning -1/2 day Design session: Extremely fun, imaginative, romantic and revealing of yourself, trust me this is a worthwhile investment

• 2 Hours: exercises to help you clarify and dream and envision the values, concepts, ideas you want to celebrate and that are important to you.
• 2 Hours: Ritual and event design based on the concept, how to organize, rituals, invites

Day-of Facilitation - Facilitation of rituals and experiences on the day of

Investment: $4,400 for design ($1,400) and facilitation of rituals ($3,000) on your special day
